About Tezak Heavy Equipment
Tezak Heavy Equipment Co. Inc., is a second-generation family owned and operated business located in South-Eastern Colorado. Danny Tezak bought the business from his father, Ed Tezak, Jr., in 1998 and has driven the business to be the most succesful it has ever been. Danny's sister, Rhonda Lewis, CPA, came back to work for the family business in the fall of 1999 in the capacity of Vice-President/Controller for the company. Both Danny and Rhonda were raised in the business of highway/heavy construction allowing them to have hands-on and practical knowledge of the construction industry.
Tezak Heavy Equipment has extensive experience in highway/heavy construction, excavation, slope stabilization, channel armoring, water and sewer installation, drilling and blasting, and commercial overlot grading. Along with the above construction activities, Tezak Heavy Equipment operates one of the largest granite rock quarries in South-Eastern Colorado. The quarry has produced 750,000+ tons/year for the last few years with much of its rock being utilized on our own construction projects. We employ an average of 55 employees year round.
We take pride in doing a project right the first time, doing it on schedule, and under budget. It is because of these beliefs and high standards that we have received numerous Project Management Awards and Safety Awards from the Colorado Contractor's Association.
Tezak Heavy Equipment takes safety very seriously to protect our greatest asset, our employees. Without healthy and safe employees, we wouldn't be a successful company. Tezak also conducts weekly toolbox meetings by the job-site supervisors an also certifies all their employees in first-aid and CPR.
