Cottonwood Creek Phase 1, Colorado Springs, Colorado
Owner: City of Colorado Springs, Colorado
Engineer: JR Engineering
This project consists of the construction of two new grouted riprap drop structures and riprap bank protection. Phase 1 of the project is a segment of approximately 2000 LF in Cottonwood Creek Channel. In addition to these improvements, there are five existing storm drains that flow into the creek. These will be reconstructed with new concrete strucutres, pipe and grouted riprap to match the proposed channel section. Channel restoration includes topsoil, seeding and erosion matting of the side slopes. Project walk through was conducted on June 2, 2006. Jody Lazor was the Project Superintendent for the duration of the Project. The City of Colorado Springs and J.R. Engineering's Management team had nothing but praises about our crew and the Project.
