Project Description:
Delta County has proposed to construct the fourth phase of the Adobe Buttes Solid Waste Landfill in Delta County, Colorado. Phase 4 encompasses an area of approximately 6 acres. The Phase 4 will have a minimum excavation depth of approximately 12 feet below the existing natural ground surface with maximum sideslopes of approximately 3H:1V (with localized steeper slopes outside the liner placement area) and a base slope of approximately 2 to 3 percent towards a permanent pump which is not part of this construction contract. The work will consist of the following: Mobilzation/Demobilization, Construction Surveying, 200,000 CY of Excavation, 3,000 CY of Structural Fill, 7,900 CY of Soil Liner, 285 LF of Leachate Collection Gravel Drain, 3,000 CY of Sand Drainage Layer, 7,900 CY of Protective Soil Layer, and installing 6-inch rip rap.
