Cottonwood Creek Phase 3

This project consists of the following work: Earthwork Excavation, 3 NewDrop Boulder Structures (Grouted), Concrete Cut-off Walls, Armoring Slopes with Rip Rap, Seeding, Mulching, Erosion Control Blanket, Storm Sewer Pipe, and Manholes. Cottonwood Creek is located in Colorado Springs between Union Boulevard and Rangewood Street. Phase I Construction of Cottonwood Creek was completed in May of 2006. Phase II Construction of Cottonwood Creek was completed in March of 2007. Cottonwood Creek Phase 3 will tie-in Phase I and Phase II Construction.

CDOT - State HWY 114 - Tomichi Creek Bridge

Project Description:
This project is located on SH 114 near the intersection at US 50 and extending approximately 0.15 miles southerly. The work will consist of the following: Bridge replacement which includes clearing and grubbing, embankment material, seeding and mulching, aggregate base course, hot mix asphalt, concrete class D (Box Culvert), guardrail, bridge rail, striping, and construction traffic control.

Project Description:
This project is located on State HWY 24, from approximate mile marker 169.0 to mile marker 174.1 in Lake County, just north of the Town of Leadville, CO. The project consists of shoulder and curve widening, minor reconstruct and resurfacing including HMA, HBP reclamation, aggregate base course, removal and installation of guardrail, unclassified excavation, seeding, signing, striping, construction traffic management, removal of an existing structural plate pipe, and the construction of a new Con-Span Bridge System. CDOT, Region 3 has partnered with Tezak Heavy Equipment and accepted a Valued Engineering Proposal, which will replace the proposed construction of a concrete box culvert with a new innovative Con-Span Bridge Design System. This new pre-cast bridge system that will be provided by Contech Bridge Solutions, Inc. will not only minimize the construction time, but it will also minimize the environmental impact by not having to divert the East Fork Arkansas River for the construction of this new bridge system.
CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS: The Pre-Cast Bridge Structure has been installed. Our crews are in the process of backfilling the structure and will re-open HWY 24 for the traveling public on May 2, 2008.

Cranberry Park Subdivsion

Cranberry Park Subdivision is located in Canon City. This subdivision project started in early October of 2007 and is scheduled to be completed in February of 2008. We have been contracted by D.C.S Development & Construction, LLC to perform the following work: Earthwork, Utilities, Asphalt Paving, Curb and Gutter, and Concrete Sidewalk. This new subdivision will house maintenance free luxury townhomes.
